Blogging is Bogging me Down

About the event

Authenticity & Transparency

Full disclosure;  it’s 5am.  As is often the case these days, I couldn’t fall back asleep once my brain turned on.

This is my first official blog post.  I’ve been struggling with the idea of blogging since last Fall when my web designer strong-armed me in to having one.  She explained to me that Google is King.  What Google wants, we give it, she said.  After my initial panic, I succumbed to the idea.  Fast forward 10 months, and I am still stuck in this blog fog.  What is relevant?  What is original?  What will give me the crucial SEO but still align with the vision of my business?

Well, happy to report, the fog is lifting!

Authenticity & transparency.  These are two words that are included in our mission statement here at the [inn] and are always at the forefront of our business.  When the tables are turned, and I am the consumer, I want ALL the information.  When I feel like I’m being sold, that information is being withheld, or when new information/costs come trickling in to the conversation, it makes me mad.  I feel my time is valuable.  And guess what?  Yours is too!

So, on that note, I am going to be sharing.  “Sharing everything” as Robert Munch said (shout out to all the other Moms that have read this a bazillion times!).  The most valuable resource as a small business owner, for me, is relationships.  Some may think it’s networking, and yes that is definitely true.  But the #1 reason I love interacting and having conversations with other entrepreneurs is for those little nuggets.  The nuggets of knowledge/tips/tricks that only experience can bring.  Those moments when you are chatting with someone and you can NOT wait to get to your phone or a pen to jot something down!  That’s the good stuff my friends.  Let’s do that.

Every Monday, I will be sharing all my success, struggles and stories from the day to day; Authentic and transparent.  I hope you enjoy it and that just maybe, there will be a nugget or two for your business.

If you’re bubbling with anticipation and you just can’t wait until next week, check out The [inn]er Circle and let’s chat!
